Turn
Always turn to God first when you are in a bind, want to thank him for a favor, need something, or just need to talk and listen. "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." -Matthew 6:33. -Pastor Mike
Paid in Full
No one can add to what Jesus did to save us. Our past, present, and future sins are all forgiven, if we have accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior. "Therefore, he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them." - Hebrews 7:25. Trust and live close to Jesus! - Pastor Mike
Worry
I let "worry" get ahold of my life at times. How about you? Jesus said in Luke 12: 25, "Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?" That's is so true. God promises the Kingdom and tells us to serve others. Stop worrying and keep busy! -Pastor Mike
Rock
"Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, is the Rock eternal." - Isaiah 26:4. Come to the Lord with all your cares and problems. Trust in him to answer them, in his time and in his way. Do not be worried or concerned...God will will provide. -Pastor Mike
Criticizing Others
"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven." -Luke 6:37. So does Jesus mean that we should just ignor our brother's sins? No, but we must constructively assist them to repent and be healed. Remember the adulterous woman that was about to be stoned? Did jesus just rip on her and te
Plans
God has a plan for each one of us. "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go: I will counsel you and watch over you." -Psalm 32: 8. God does not want us to worry about the future. If you sometimes fall into that trap, repent, turn to Jesus, and ask him to show you the next step in your life plan. Exhale! God has you covered. -Pastor Mike
Mirror
1 Corinthians 13: 12 states, "Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face." Paul is writing to us to let us know that one day we will be complete when we see God face to face. While we don't have all the answers now, when we meet Christ face to face on that final day, we will be able to have all of our questions answered. -Pastor Mike
Presence
The emptiness that we sometimes feel inside can either be filled with our problems or God's presence. When I go out each afternoon for my prayer walk, I pray and also silence myself to listen for God's voice for over an hour. "Pray continually." -1 Thessalonians 5:17. Listen for His voice. You can depend on Jesus for all your needs! -Pastor Mike
Peru
This will be my last blog for 2 weeks as I am leading a group of 11 on a mission trip to Peru. Keep us in your prayers as we work for the 11th year with the rescued street boys. We will tell and show them of God's love for them, take water to the shanty towns, labor at both boy's home sites, and teach about Jesus in the public schools. -Pastor Mike
Peace
Christians should live in peace. That does not mean that we will always agree on everything, but it does mean as Christians, we must work together despite our differences. This type of love is not a feeling but a decision to reach out and fill someone else's need. Love leads to peace, and this is the only way the body of Christ can function productively. -Pastor Mike
