CREW
Hand
When we were little, some adult was always holding our hand. I remember my grandmother walking me to the grocery store, softly humming a favorite hymn. "The Lord God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing." -Zephaniah 3: 17. Let God lead you by the hand. -Pastor Mike
Weaknesses
Ever wonder about how power can be displayed in weaknesses? I recently pulled a muscle when I was crouching for over an hour, filling water balloons. I was hoping to work through it, but it only got worse. God spoke to me about returning to a Christian chiropractor that helped me in the past. God works by gifting others who can do his will. -Pastor Mike
Eyes
"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus...." - Hebrews 12;2a. Jesus is our author and perfector of faith. If we keep our eyes on him and follow him, we will never get lost. Even if the road ahead of us is filled with dead ends and forks, Jesus will point the way that we should take. While our trip may be bumpy and have detours, Jesus will get us to our destination.
Delight
"Delight yourself in the Lord; trust in him and he will give you the desires of your heart." -Psalm 37:4. When you delight in someone, you experience great joy in their presence. This can only happen if we know that person well. The more we get to know God, the more that we experience his great love for us, the desire of our heart. -Pastor Mike
Relax
Are you always busy? I certainly am. Remember the story of Jesus visiting Mary and Martha? (Read Luke 10: 38-41) Martha got ticked because she opened her home to Jesus while her sister, Mary, did little to prepare for the visit. Instead, Mary sat at the feet of Jesus listening to him speak. Spend some time with Jesus today! -Pastor Mike
Weakness
God knows our weaknesses. He can meet us in those very places. Remember Peter? "Lord, if it's you, Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water." "Come", he said. For a while Peter walked on water. As soon as Peter looked down, he began to sink. Keep your eyes on Jesus' power rather than on your own inadequacies. -Pastor Mike
Prayer
Prayer or worship are not possible when you are angry or holding a grudge. Paul writes in 1 Timothy 2:8, "I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing." Our goal is always to have a right relationship with others and with God. -Pastor Mike
Blessing
Look up Numbers 6:24-26. This blessing shows that God protects us, is pleased with us, is merciful and compasionate, approves of us, and gives us peace. Offer up a blessing to someone today to show the love and encouragement of Christ through you, as well as provide a model of caring to others. Then actually do something that will bless someone. -Pastor Mike
Journey
"With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall." - Psalm 18: 29. Ever wonder sometimes how you are going to "scale a wall" in your life? Sometimes it seems like certain challenges are overwhelming. If God is leading you up cliffs, he will equip you for the climb. With God, all things are possible! -Pastor Mike
Grown Up
We can't wait to grow up. Learning to drive a car, graduating from high school, and going to college are all privledges in a person's life. But growing up also has its responsibilities. "When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me." - 1 Corinthians 13:11. -Pastor Mike
