Deacons
Church Leadership
The Deacons are a group of dedicated Christian men and women who not only bond together in personal fellowship, but also in their desire to serve Christ and the people of His church. They regularly meet together and pray for guidance in ways that they can serve the Lord and bring glory to His name at First Pres.
Deacon Focused Ministries
Deacons provide a much needed contribution to the lives of church members as well as the community. The above Deacons are repsonsible for the following:

Led by the Parish Nurse who deals with medical issues for the church family. |

Deacons visit with members who are hospitalized or homebound due to illness. |
|
Deacons send out cards that are made by the Card Ministry, to members who need comforting. |
|
Deacons prepare the Communion table for the monthly Communion service. |
|
Deacons prepare and serve meals for funeral & memorial service guests. |

|
Deacons coordinate visits and provides meals (as needed) for members who are homebound, live in senior housing ornursing homes. |

|
|
Deacons communicate with the congregation's young adults that are unable to attend church due to being away at school, serving in the military, etc. |

|
|
Deacons provide transportation for anyone who needs a ride due to medical purposes, or to and from church. |
|
Deacons communicate with homebound members, asking how the congregation can serve their needs. |
