Morph
Investing in someone's life is one of the greatest gifts that you can give. You can assist that person to morph into all that God has created them to be. "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! -2 Corinthians 5:17. You morph, and so does the person that you pour into to! -Pastor Mike
Weaknesses
Ever wonder about how power can be displayed in weaknesses? I recently pulled a muscle when I was crouching for over an hour, filling water balloons. I was hoping to work through it, but it only got worse. God spoke to me about returning to a Christian chiropractor that helped me in the past. God works by gifting others who can do his will. -Pastor Mike
Nothing
Ever wonder about how something in your life that has gone wrong can be made right? God doesn't want us focusing our attention on our problems. He desires that we focus our attention on him. "For nothing is impossible with God." -Luke 4;37. While it may be scarey, even feel dangerous, the safest place is to be in God's will. -Pastor Mike
Eyes
"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus...." - Hebrews 12;2a. Jesus is our author and perfector of faith. If we keep our eyes on him and follow him, we will never get lost. Even if the road ahead of us is filled with dead ends and forks, Jesus will point the way that we should take. While our trip may be bumpy and have detours, Jesus will get us to our destination.
Peace
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." - John 14:27. Jesus is telling us that we will have peace because he will send the Holy Spirit which will give us confident assurance in the present or future. This will keep our heart and mind close to Jesus. -Pastor Mike
Delight
"Delight yourself in the Lord; trust in him and he will give you the desires of your heart." -Psalm 37:4. When you delight in someone, you experience great joy in their presence. This can only happen if we know that person well. The more we get to know God, the more that we experience his great love for us, the desire of our heart. -Pastor Mike
Weeds
I always suggested that my landscaping crew look at only one square foot of weeds at a time, and then to move on to the second square foot, until the entire job was completed. Hebrews 12:3 tells us to consider ther hardship of Christ so that we will not grow weary and lose heart. Suffering, like weeding, is the training ground for maturity. -Pastor Mike
Relax
Are you always busy? I certainly am. Remember the story of Jesus visiting Mary and Martha? (Read Luke 10: 38-41) Martha got ticked because she opened her home to Jesus while her sister, Mary, did little to prepare for the visit. Instead, Mary sat at the feet of Jesus listening to him speak. Spend some time with Jesus today! -Pastor Mike
Safe!
Do you remember as a little child when your parent would toss you slightly into the air and catch you? Like most kids, you probably squeeled with joy because it was an experience that combined both adventure with trust. ""Surely God is my salvation: I will trust and not be afraid." -Isaiah 12: 2a. Allow God to be your strength! - Pastor Mike
Weakness
God knows our weaknesses. He can meet us in those very places. Remember Peter? "Lord, if it's you, Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water." "Come", he said. For a while Peter walked on water. As soon as Peter looked down, he began to sink. Keep your eyes on Jesus' power rather than on your own inadequacies. -Pastor Mike
