Fit
Often we try to have people fit into our plans and purposes. Sometimes, we even try to fit God into our own mold. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." -Isaiah 55:9. God's knowlege and wisdom are far greater than ours. Strive to fit into God's plans! -Pastor Mike
Trust
A "trust " exercise that I have done is falling back without hesitation into two people's interlocked arms. It's kind of scary! God wants us to trust him, exhale, and enjoy the present moment. "Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go for to you I lift up my soul." -Psalm 143:8. -Pastor Mike
Renewed
We have all faced problems in our relationships at home, school, work, neighborhood, and church that have made us want to "pick up our toys" and walk away. But take heart...the Holy Spirit gives us strength to step forward. "Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day." -2 Corinthians 4:16. -Pastor Mike
Lullaby
When a parent sings a lullaby to their child, it is a song of appreciation for God blessing them with such a precious gift. Do you know that God rejoices and sings over you? "The Lord God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing." -Zephaniah 3:17. -Pastor Mike
Fear
Remember when you were a child and your father took you shopping? He would hold your hand and keep you near. Remember when he let go and you wondered off? Fear entered in as you felt seperated from him. "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God." -Isaiah 41:10a. Your Heavenly Father is always with you! -Pastor Mike
Leadership
We must pray for the future replacement that God would want in our positions. Moses commissioned Joshua to take his place in leadership while offering up these words of encouragment. "The Lord goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you or forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." -Deuteronomy 31:8. -Pastor Mike
Trouble
Trouble comes into everyone's life. The best way to keep away from becoming angry about trouble is to practice thanksgiving for the good things. It's difficult to curse and thank at the same time. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." -Philipians 4:6. -Pastor Mike
Patience
God hates sin and is ready to hand out just punishmen tto all who defy his rule. But God is patient. His judgement only comes after countless opportunities for us to repent and to turn back to true worship and obedience. God requires us "...To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." -Micah 6:8b. -Pastor Mike
Temple
When we become a Christian, our body belongs to God. The Holy Spirit comes to live inside of us, so we must strive to keep our insides "clean" from sin. "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God. You are not your own." -1 Corinthians 6:19. -Pastor Mike
Fear
Fear stalks us continuously. But courageous and consistant faith in the firm foundation of Jesus Christ as our Savior and the Holy Spirit as our counselor is all we need to ditch fear. As God told Joshua, when he was ready to lead a new generation into the promised land, "I will never leave you or forsake you." -Joshua 1:5b. -Pastor Mike
