Healing
God wants to heal our brokeness. First we must become close to Christ. Then we need to ask for the mending of a broken heart, mind, body, or relationship for ourselves or others. "You want something but don't get it...You do not have, because you do not ask God." -James 4:3. Talk to God...He is anxiously awaiting to have conversation with you. -Pastor Mike
Wait
Fast food, drive-up banking, texting. We all hate to wait. God desires for us to be patient in order that we stay connected to him. "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him. Do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes." -Psalam 37:7. Wait upon the Lord and he will act in His perfect timing! -Pastor Mike
Inadequate
Who wants to be inadequate? As a Christian, that is the best place to be in order to encounter God. Cry out to him to fight for you! "He who dwells in the shadow of the Most high will rest in the shadow of the Almighty." -Psalm 91:1. Depend on God rather than yourself...lose the pride and realize that He is working on your behalf! -Pastor Mike
Redeemed
Ever make a mistake and need someone to forgive you? We do this all the time. While some people hold grudges, isn't it great to know that our God is a forgiving Father? "...Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine." -Isaiah 43:1b. Know that you can fall back into the loving arms of Jesus! -Pastor Mike
Fast
Morning is the time we break our fasting. Not just food, mind you, but all activities. I break my fast by runninng in the morning while I spend time renewing my relationship with God. "but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." -Isaiah 40:31. -Pastor Mike
Lord
The word Lord actually means owner. Do you believe that you belong to Jesus and act that way? The call to be a disciple of Jesus is open to everyone, but we don't get to write our own job description. Jesus has a plan for you. "You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body." -1 Cor. 6:19-20. -Pastor Mike
Blessings
It's hard to trust in God when we percieve that things are not going as they should. Instead of feeling like we are being punished when things go wrong, try to view these as blessings in disguise. "Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart to him for God is our refuge." -Psalm 62:8. Try to find a testimony in a heartache. -Pastor Mike
Alpha and Omega
It is hard to imagine that God is the beginning and the end, the one who always has, is, and will be, the one who will never change. As humans, we are bombarded with change in styles, methods, and technology on a regular basis. Thank goodness that God is constant. "I am the Alpha and the Omega..who is, and who was, and who is to come..."-Revelation 1:8. -Pastor Mike
Stressed
Ugh! Preparing for this Disaster Relief Trip to Joplin has been stressful! Getting subs for Sunday School, Converge, Bible Study, and cancelling meetings with other individuals was consuming. Comfort is in Jesus, who told us, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full". -John 10:10. -Pastor Mike
United
Ever have someone tell you that they've "got your back"? I comforts us when we know someone else is watching out for us in our weaknesses. "In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express." -Romans 8:26. -Pastor Mike
