Lean
We are prideful beings. It nearly never occurs to us that we should lean on God, for only he knows what will happen tomorrow. "Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes." -James 5:14. Take time to ask God what his will is for your life, today. -Pastor Mike
Rejoice
No set of circumstances can isolate us from God's grace. Even when we run from him, he patiently awaits our return. Like the lost son, God rejoices when a child of his returns to him. "The Lord is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing." -Zephaniah 3:17.- Pastor Mike.
Supernatural Power
We need supernatural power every day to defeat Satan. God has provided this by giving us the Holy Spirit within and the armor of God to surround us. "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."-Ephesians 6:12. -Pastor Mike
Light
Christmas lights always make me feel joyful. The summer sun always makes me feel invigorated. It's something about the absence of darkness that makes me feel closer to God. "The city does not need the sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp." Praise God for His glory! -Pastor Mike.
Refocus
We all need focus. Without focus, we do not have a definate purpose in life. Without purpose, we are vulnerable to "the world, the flesh, and the devil", which cause us to become confused and directionless. "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path." -Psalm 119:105. Read your Bible and meditate on God's word for direction. -Pastor Mike
Exhale
With Christmas quickly approaching, it is easy to get stressed-out with all the preparations. God wants us to detatch from the disturbances and distractions around us. "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give it to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." -John 14:27. -Pastor Mike.
Exchange
Our sin was poured into Jesus at his crucifixion and when we accepted Him as Lord and Savior, his righteousness was poured into us. This was not bartering...it was an exchange of something worthless for something precious. "God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." -2 Corinthians 5:21. -Pastor Mike
Entrust
It's hard to entrust. The guy isn't good enough for our sister. The young lady doesn't add up to what we want to see in a daughter-in-law. Don't allow a loved one to become an idol, but instead, entrust God. "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us." -Ephesians 3:20. -Pastor Mike
Not Guilty
Ever get blamed for something that you didn't do? How about for something you did do? Ouch! If you have made Jesus your Lord and Savior, and if you have repented from your sins, he has washed you clean and made you whole again. "For the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death." -Romans 8:2. -Pastor Mike
Fruit
God wants us to mature and bear fruit so that our neighbors experience the love of God through us. "...the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. Against such things there is no law." -Galatians 5:22-23. Is your life a living testament of how God can change a person? -Pastor Mike
