Rock
"Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, is the Rock eternal." - Isaiah 26:4. Come to the Lord with all your cares and problems. Trust in him to answer them, in his time and in his way. Do not be worried or concerned...God will will provide. -Pastor Mike
Lamp
"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path." - Psalm 119: 105. God's path does not always line up with our own or the one the world presents us with. Remember Jesus' words to Peter, "Follow me!". Rely on God's way! - Pastor Mike
Criticizing Others
"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven." -Luke 6:37. So does Jesus mean that we should just ignor our brother's sins? No, but we must constructively assist them to repent and be healed. Remember the adulterous woman that was about to be stoned? Did jesus just rip on her and te
Temptation
We are all tempted on a daily basis. The World messes with our heads and makes us think that we will be more complete if we allow our temptations to rule us. Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that God will never give us more temptation than we can bear and will always provide a way out. Open yourself up to His help! -Pastor Mike
Plans
God has a plan for each one of us. "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go: I will counsel you and watch over you." -Psalm 32: 8. God does not want us to worry about the future. If you sometimes fall into that trap, repent, turn to Jesus, and ask him to show you the next step in your life plan. Exhale! God has you covered. -Pastor Mike
Thankfulness
Colossians 4:2 states, "Devote yourself to prayer, being watchful and thankful." We all have much to be thankful for. Spending time with God each morning in prayer emphasizing what we are thankful for protects us from negative thinking. Walk purposefully with God and see where he directs you to spread his gospel of love. -Pastor Mike
Mirror
1 Corinthians 13: 12 states, "Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face." Paul is writing to us to let us know that one day we will be complete when we see God face to face. While we don't have all the answers now, when we meet Christ face to face on that final day, we will be able to have all of our questions answered. -Pastor Mike
Weary
Hebrews 12: 3 states, "Consider him (Jesus) who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart." Our mission team just returned from Peru with sinus infections, irritated eyes, and nagging coughs. But we have also returned knowing that over a hundred lives were changed because God did not allow our team to grow weary. -Pastor Mike
Presence
The emptiness that we sometimes feel inside can either be filled with our problems or God's presence. When I go out each afternoon for my prayer walk, I pray and also silence myself to listen for God's voice for over an hour. "Pray continually." -1 Thessalonians 5:17. Listen for His voice. You can depend on Jesus for all your needs! -Pastor Mike
Focus
Keeping your eyes on Jesus is the same thing as trusting him. So often I want to look away, thinking that things of this world are worthy of my trust; money, recognition, education, and such. But Jesus is the only, lasting answer. "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." -2 Peter 5:7. He cares so much that he went to the cross for us! -Pastor Mike
