Purify

When our mission team goes to Peru each year we have to have our water purified, so that we don't get sick from certain organisms.  Christ died and purified us from all our sins when we recieved him as Lord and Savior.  "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." -1 John 1:9. -Pastor Mike

Holy Ground

When you worship God, what sort of attitude do you bring with you?  Is it an attitude that is insincere or one that shows respect?  ""Do not come any closer, God said. "Take off your sandals, for the place you are standing is holy ground." -Exodus 3:5.  When we worship God, don't do it casually.  Remember, you are before the King of Kings. -Pastor Mike

Wineskins

Ever try to fit into an old pair of shoes that you love but just can't throw out, even though you outgrew them?  The new Gosple message of Jesus did not fit into the old, legalistic Jewish faith.  "No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment making the tear worse." -Matthew 9:16. -Pastor Mike

Nothing

Security rests in God alone.  "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to seperate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." -Romans 8:39. Our God is THE super hero! -Pastor Mike

Worship

What is your attitude when you worship?  Are your expectations for music, the message, and experiences what matters?  What about the One you worship?  Shouldn't God be the one who is satisfied by our attitude?  "Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name." -Psalm 100:4. -Pastor Mike

Criticism

It's easy being critical.  That way, we can turn judgement away from ourselves and focus on other's shortcomings.  "Do not judge, and you will not be judged.  Do not condem, and you will not be condemned.  Forgive, and you will be forgiven." -Luke 6:37.  A forgiving spirit shows that a person has recieved God's forgiveness.  Are you forgiven? -Pastor Mike

Prayer

Your day needs to be constructed around a regular prayer time..  The morning works best for me.  I go running for 4 miles and pray using the ACTS model (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, & Supplication).  "In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation." -Psalm 5:3. -Pastor Mike

Rest

Getting a good night's sleep is important to maintain a healthy body and mind.  God wants us to rest in him and not be troubled with what the world hurls at us each day.  "Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the lord loves rests between his shoulders." -Deuteronomy 33:12. -Pastor Mike

Freedom

Freedom is a right that we have as Americans: freedom of speech, to carry arms, & religion.  We have a greater freedom in Christ.  Jesus has set us free from sin, self-deception, and from deception from the Evil One.  Our freedom not to do what we want, but to follow Christ.  "The you will know the truth and the truth will set you free." -John 8:32. -Pastor Mike

Cope

How often do you hear someone say, "I am having trouble coping with this situation"?  Knowing that the Holy Spirit is always with us, we never have to cope with any situation alone.  "I can do everything through him who gives me strength." -Philippians 4:13.  Don't ever attempt anything by yourself again.  Know that God is there with you in every situation. -Pastor Mike
