Patience

God hates sin and is ready to hand out just punishmen tto all who defy his rule.  But God is patient.  His judgement only comes after countless opportunities for us to repent and to turn back to true worship and obedience.  God requires us "...To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." -Micah 6:8b. -Pastor Mike

Temple

When we become a Christian, our body belongs to God.  The Holy Spirit comes to live inside of us, so we must strive to keep our insides "clean" from sin.  "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God.  You are not your own." -1 Corinthians 6:19. -Pastor Mike

Fear

Fear stalks us continuously.  But courageous and consistant faith in the firm foundation of Jesus Christ as our Savior and the Holy Spirit as our counselor is all we need to ditch fear.  As God told Joshua, when he was ready to lead a new generation into the promised land, "I will never leave you or forsake you." -Joshua 1:5b. -Pastor Mike

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is a sign that we belong to God and shows that our faith is genuine, we are God's children, eternal life is secured, and we become transformed.  "And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gosple of your salvation.   Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit." -Ephesians 1:13. -Pastor Mike

Laughter

Some people just laugh alot, naturally.  It's fun to be around someone who does not take everything so seriously.  "A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones." -Proverbs 17:22.  Take time today to bring some joy into someone's life and just do something silly to make them laugh. -Pastor Mike

Wishes

God has made his wishes clear: he wants his people to be just, merciful and humble.  So, how do you regularly treat people?  Are you honest, compassionate, and modest?  "...And what does the Lord require of you?  To act justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God." - Micah 6:8b.  -Pastor Mike

Pain

It is comforting to realize that even when we are experiencing pain we realize that this life is not all there is...there is life after death!  Knowing this can help us to live above our troubles.  "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen.  For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." -2 Corinthians 4:18. -Pastor Mike

Directly

In Old Testament times, people approached God through a priest.  With Christ's victory on the cross, we can now come to him directly as "the priests".  "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness and into his wonderful light." -1 Peter 2:9. -Pastor Mike

Spirit

Some of us are control freaks...I know that I am and I give myself much more work because I want things done a certain way.  We cannot control the Holy Spirit...he is unpredictable.  "The wind blows whereever it pleases.  You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going.  So it is with everyone born of the Spirit." -John 3:8. -Pastor Mike

5K

I have been in training for over 6 months for competing in a 5K run.  I am not a person who wants to watch from the grandstands, in regards to either my faith or my actions.  "Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training.  They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever." -1 Corinthians 9:25. -Pastor Mike
